I had planned on camping on Fan Gyhirych overnight but with thunderstorms forecast I decided against this
and booked into a campsite instead . This is Fan Gyhirych later that evening struggling with some low cloud
The following morning the weather was much better , this is the start at the chimney
There's plenty of low cloud in the Afon Crai valley
Looking around there is plenty of low cloud in other areas too
 The Cray Reservoir
An unusual feature at Fan Gyhirych's summit plateau
To the west is the Carmarthen Fan with Fan Hir's excellent ridge facing us
The Afon Tawe valley where I stayed last night in a local campsite
On Fan Gyhirych's sister hill , Fan Fraith
The superb eastern face of Fan Gyhirych
The view north east where there is plenty of cloud still about in the distance
The route across to Yr Allt
But our next port of call is to the south east , Fan Nedd
The Nedd Frachon valley seperating Fan Nedd from Fan Fraith
And in the opposite direction the Afon Senni valley seperating Fan Nedd from Yr Allt
 Yr Allt
Fan Gyhirych & the Carmarthen Fan from the ascent of Fan Nedd
 Fan Llia & Fan Dringarth
Close up of the Carmarthen Fan with some low cloud moving across
 Fan Gyhirych & Fan Fraith
Close up of Corn Du & Pen-y-Fan
 Fan Nedd from Yr Allt
