Beinn Eunaich

DATE : 21st July 2006

There's a temporary halt to the proceedings at Castles Farm

The cloud base is quite low this morning

And doesn't get much higher further into the walk

Me , hardly being able to contain my delight about summiting Beinn a Chochuill , my 18th Munro

Not long after leaving the summit the clouds part revealing the valley floor below

There's still plenty of cloud on the northern side of the ridge

The cloud clears at the bealach between Beinn a Chochuill & Beinn Eunaich

A mass of cloud though is still present

The best view we had north west to Meall Voirlich & Loch Etive

The cloud looks like it's dispersing but there's plenty more where that came from

Ascending the relatively clear Beinn Eucaich

View west from Beinn Euchaich to Coire na Garbhlaich

Cloud moves over the Cruachan ridge summits

And crosses over the Lairig Noe

Heading back towards Stob Maol with the northern leg of Loch Awe in the distance

Another view of Lairig Noe with Sron an Isean to the left & Beinn a Chochuill to the right

Further back is this view of the Allt Mhoille valley

View of the first Munro of the walk , Beinn a Chochuill

View further along the valley
