DATE : 28th September 2008

Cloud spilling over on Beinn Ghobhlach near Ullapool

Stac Pollaidh is struggling a bit too

Ben More Coigach from the A835

Starting off from Inchnadamph

It's not long before a rain shower moves in

It soon clears to leave a bright Gleann Dubh

The route of ascent by the Allt a' Choinne' Mhill

View back on Gleann Dubh with Canisp in cloud in the background

There's a tricky bit to negotiate at the head of the Allt a' Choinne' Mhill

Looking back along the ascent route

High above is Conival

In comes another rain shower

Conival summit

On the rocky ridge that seperates Conival from Ben More Assynt

Further down the ridge there is more of a view

View north from the ridge

Eventually the 2 summits of Ben More Assynt comes into view ( the true summit is the one to the left )

South of Ben More Assynt is Dubh-Loch Mor

This is about as good as the view got from the summit

The summit of Ben More Assynt

The sun breaks through at the foot of Conival

Returning by the footpath through Gleann Dubh
