Mam Tor , the road is the old A625 and leads direct to the subsided road section
The road originaly was twin lane and was replaced by a single lane stretch after the first landslip
But even the single lane road was destroyed by further landslips
The difference in height between the road sections indicates how much slippage has occured

Further up the whole of the eastern bank has fallen away
The road has also fallen and has detatched away from the upper section
On closer inspection the damage looks quite considerable
And again from further up
A considerable section of the road has disappeared from this part
From here there is an excellent view of Mam Tor
